ChrisBrennan.net uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which public pages and projects are useful. The setup is intentionally limited and is not used for advertising or to build personal visitor profiles.
What is measured
- Visits to public pages, including the résumé and bodybuilding story.
- Résumé PDF downloads and clicks to LinkedIn, email, the current plan, and project pages.
- Aggregate engagement signals such as reaching about 90% of a page.
- Basic device, browser, approximate location, and referral information provided by Google Analytics.
Privacy limits
- No form contents, typed text, phone numbers, email addresses, or user IDs are sent as analytics events.
- Page URLs and referral values are stripped of query strings and fragments before measurement.
- Google Signals, advertising personalization, and Google Ads integration are disabled.
- Analytics is active only on approved ChrisBrennan.net production hosts, not local or preview deployments.
Provider and retention
Google Analytics is provided by Google. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies and processes technical request information to provide measurement and security. Event-level data is retained for 14 months so this low-traffic site can make useful longer-term comparisons.
